On the Central Coast of California, the vines of Fossil Point are never far from the influence of the sea. Sunny afternoons give way to cool marine breezes, and the growing season is directly shaped by the seasonal flow of the currents and surface temperature of the nearby Pacific Ocean. The vines take root in coarse sand, calcareous shale, and fossilized oyster beds - all remnants of the ancient sea floor. Fossil Point pays tribute to this bond between sea and vine. All of their estate vineyards are farmed sustainably 

Fossil Point's Chardonnay is made from hand-harvested grapes that are whole-cluster pressed, fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels. This a versatile, everyday Chardonnay with citrus and peach aromas and flavors of lemon verbena and pastry cream. Enjoy with scallops or shrimp, as this wine is an excellent seafood pairing
