Spiral 36 is our rendition of a white Rhône style blend.
It always contains components of Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne. However, the percentages of the wine change annually depending on the vintage.
We like to co-ferment this wine for added complexity and seamlessness.
Barrel fermented and aged in predominantly neutral French oak barrels for 4 months. 20 % new French oak.
Batonnage is routinely practiced every other day.
Always native yeast ferments and always estate grown.
Spirals are found in nature. Think of how a tendril curls or spirals.
The Viognier is grown in Block 3 of our vineyard and we grow Marsanne and Roussanne together in Block 6.
Spiral is a blend from Block 3 and Block 6. Hence the name Spiral 36.
Think cool climate freshness, complexity, balanced acidity, softness and length.
This is our most popular white wine. Production is anywhere from 600 cases in a cool vintage to 900 cases in a warm vintage.
